I just HAD to share this picture with you. Our neighbor's tree has lit up the neighborhood with its splendor....
It reminds me of the story in the Bible where Moses sees the Burning Bush....
Anyway, I think it is a thing of beauty and I had to capture it in a picture. But in person it is even more spectacular and beautiful.... even my mobile therapist went a picked a leaf off of it to try and dry it in that stage of its color. And then the UPS man who was delivering something to us also stood in awe of it, saying "Have you seen your neighbors' tree?" and to which I replied yes, and that I'd taken a picture of it.....
Only The Lord God could make something so breathtakingly, splendorously, beautiful...
People talk about spring being "birth" and "renewal" for me it is the beautiful colors of fall...this is when "my" year begins! That tree is breathtaking! I saw one the other day that was a mix of red (almost the same reds as that one) and brilliant golds - literally took my breath away!
Thanks, Danielle. I've looked around the neighborhood and this seems to be the only one. I'll be sad when it turns brown..snif
That tree is quite gorgeous. Thanks for sharing the picture you took.
I really enjoy this time of year with the leaves changing colors. They always make a drive in the country so pleasant.
Thank you, Teresa!
Bo, are you doing ok? You haven't posted much and I hope its because you are busy having fun.
Hi Sue! Thank you for your note---and it's true, I've not posted much but it's because I had a lot of obligations I've had to do. The family had a bunch of birthdays and I had to get presents and cards all together--and I was knitting things for some presents...whew! my fingers! And today I'm getting ready for the family Thanksgiving schedule! But I'll get back to normal after the holiday! Thank you again for your concern but I promise I'm okay!
what is a "tippin's pie"?
Hi Danielle! A Tippins pie is a brand of homemade pie that can only be bought at a nearby grocery store, "Hen House", which is kind of an expensive, high end grocery store. It's a family tradition to have Tippin's pies at our holiday celebrations, especially Tippins' Key Lime Pie---IT IS YUMMY!!!! You can't get them anywhere else. Blaine and I have even bought a cooler so that we can trundle the pies down to Texas when we go!
