Update to Previous Post, "I Saw Bo Kissing Santa Claus"...
*
After much wailing, gnashing of teeth, and whining to anybody who would listen, I finally ripped out the neck on the aran pullover and knitted it this way. I extended the honeycomb cabling up to the bound off edge, surrounded by 1 x 1 ribbing.
(To see all the other handcrafted items I made in my mother's studio for Christmas gifts, see the post below.)

Thank you very much, you guys!
Bo! Your collar solution is terrific. It looks great. Congrats on finishing it in plent of time.
I am amazed that you did the whole thing, from your own design, so quickly! It's gorgeous. The neckline (after all the trouble you had) is perfect. You should be very proud of it and your recipient will LOVE it.
I think that the Aran turned out great...very beautiful. Congratulations! I know that the recipient will be speechless!
Amazing. Really. Everything you did really reflects your spirit and talent. Fantastic job!
MERRY MERRY!!
Just gawjus!!
I used that same stitch as you have in the center for some cotton cloths for my mom for Christmas. I thought it was a fun stitch!
Merry Christmas!
