Thank you, Indian Medic! She's so old that all she does is sleep and eat. (Sometimes she gets mad at the younger cat and snatches him bald.) She was born in 1993.
Read your twitter and while I am usually not for "not speaking" to people, I think you have more than a good reason here. Your mother has not control over what the handyman says, but you certainly have an expectation of at least getting your information back.
In my opinion.
