Yeah, I'm Still Practicing Making Jewelry...

I'm still making jewelry, and we still have a houseguest (Jon) and I'm trying to fit all that around my therapy schedule. And today my Wednesday mobile therapist wants to come over today instead of tomorrow, but I also have a shrink appointment.....

I know it's probably boring to see somebody's amateur attempts at making jewelry but it's all I got this week. Here's a pendant and some beads I made for it.

My first attempts at making both round and "cut" beads from a "cane":

Here's where I tried to make some "leopard" beads but my sister said they looked more like slices of a Snickers chocolate bar.

So I made a candy pendant instead of a leopard pendant for them.....

Those are very pretty! I like jewelry that is not made from metal. (I'm allergic.) The candy pendant is really cute.

Has your friend been able to find any kind of work? I've been praying for him.

And finally, did you get your man back to work? As much as you love them, when they mess up the routine, it is a real pain.

Hi Tottergirl! Thank you very much! Blaine finally went back to work, but poor Jon still hasn't found work. There was supposedly a project around here that he could work on but they've had problems and also it's been raining for days. Thank you for the prayers---he sure needs them!

Those blue/green ones made from a cane would make good buttons.

Charlotte, I think you're right! I should have punched the holes for buttons. And you've given me ideas for making buttons now!

Hey I like the green beads and what is wrong with beads that look like Snickers slices? : D Keep working - the more you create the more you create (does that make sense?) : )

Thanks, Kim! I am currently in progress on a "candy" pendant for those Snickers slices! And yes, you make total sense---thanks again!

I love the way the bright turquoise beads balance the other colours in your necklace. Keep on playing with colour the way you do. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your jewellery.
