Well....

*

Um....it's supposed to be a peplum for a sweater. And in real life it's bright, hot red. (But I can never get that color to show properly on a picture.) It took me three forevers to knit that dang ruffle and all those popcorns (which also don't show up very good in this picture.) Started out with 620 stitches.....

And all I keep thinking is that it's such a bright red that I'll need to knit a hood for the thing when it's finished----and call it "Little Red Riding Hood"....

What a gorgeous, rich color! You must have a lot of patience to cast on 620 stitches...

Thanks, Beth! (And I thought I'd never get those rounds of 620 stitches done....)

Are you making up the pattern for the hoodie?

Yes, I'm designing it as I go. I never could follow a pattern, and so I do my own. Sometimes that works out great---and sometimes it turns into a disaster!

What the hell is a peplum?
Really, I have no idea, and the picture (while a lovely bit of knitting) didn't help me much.
