Update to Previous Post, "I Saw Bo Kissing Santa Claus"...

After much wailing, gnashing of teeth, and whining to anybody who would listen, I finally ripped out the neck on the aran pullover and knitted it this way. I extended the honeycomb cabling up to the bound off edge, surrounded by 1 x 1 ribbing.

I am amazed that you did the whole thing, from your own design, so quickly! It's gorgeous. The neckline (after all the trouble you had) is perfect. You should be very proud of it and your recipient will LOVE it.

I used that same stitch as you have in the center for some cotton cloths for my mom for Christmas. I thought it was a fun stitch!
